Leonbergers typically reach their full adult size by the age of 2-3 years. They are a large breed, and males can reach a height of 28-31.5 inches at the shoulder, while females typically reach 25.5-29.5 inches. Their weight can range from 90-150 pounds for males and 100-135 pounds for females. It's important to provide them with proper nutrition and exercise during their growth period to ensure they reach their full potential. **

One problematic behavior in Leonbergers is their tendency to be stubborn and independent, which can make training challenging. They may also exhibit protective and territorial behavior, which can lead to aggression if not properly managed. Additionally, some Leonbergers may have a strong prey drive, leading them to chase after small animals or exhibit destructive behavior. It is important for owners to provide consistent training, socialization, and exercise to help address these problematic behaviors in Leonbergers. **

Leonbergers are known to be heavy shedders, especially during shedding season. They have a thick double coat that sheds year-round, with a heavier shedding period occurring twice a year as they blow out their undercoat. Regular grooming and brushing can help manage their shedding, but be prepared for a significant amount of loose hair around the house, especially during shedding season. Overall, Leonbergers require regular grooming and maintenance to keep their coat healthy and minimize shedding. **
